Image, Branding & Awareness Studies

How others view your brand is vital to your success. At Horizon Research Services, we not only offer scientifically designed studies that give you a quantitative, measurable assessment of your business' brand image, but we also use our marketing expertise to translate the results of your survey into actionable items to help you develop your brand.

What we've done for others.

Image study
In 1999, Horizon Research Services conducted two focus groups and a telephone survey of regional residents to determine the image and perception of a regional medical center and its primary competitor. Horizon Research Services conducted the focus groups and survey for a marketing and public relations firm that worked with the medical center to develop and improve its image in the community. The qualities of good doctors and hospitals were discussed by the participants as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the medical center and its competitor.

Awareness studies
Horizon Research Services has conducted numerous awareness studies used in advertising benchmarking and branding. We have conducted studies for businesses and organizations in insurance, banking, healthcare, and government.

WIC image and perception assessments
In 1999, Horizon Research Services conducted a telephone survey of 1150 past and current WIC clients. The purpose of the research was 1) to determine the level of prenatal health care awareness among WIC participants and the source of knowledge about prenatal health care, 2) to evaluate perceptions of the content and instruction of nutrition education provided by WIC, 3) to examine knowledge and sources of information regarding breast-feeding among WIC participants, 4) to investigate barriers or problems to participation in the WIC program among participants.

In 1996, a series of focus groups was conducted in eleven locations around Missouri with participants in the WIC program to better understand client needs and perceptions of the program. A report summarizing all the findings, with recommendations and conclusions, was presented to WIC program officials.
